SUNY Potsdam's internship program places students with employers whose interests align with their studies. Each student intern has a faculty sponsor, and earns between 1 and 12 credits toward their degree requirements.

SUNY Oswego has awarded Presidential Scholarships to a select group of students who are starting at the college in fall 2015. The scholarships are $18,800 over four years -- $4,700 a year -- for students residing on campus. Off-campus Presidential Scholarships are $2,350 a year. For non-New York state students, the total award can increase to as much as $50,800 in combination with a Destination Oswego scholarship.
SUNY Oneonta has awarded scholarships to 270 incoming freshman and five new transfer students. Since 2000, the college and its related College at Oneonta Foundation have more than tripled the number of scholarships available to SUNY Oneonta students, and more than $4 million is awarded each year.
SUNY Oneonta recently recognized more than 200 alumni as Alumni of Distinction honorees. In recognition of the college's 125th anniversary, the SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association established the Alumni of Distinction program to recognize alumni who have distinguished themselves through their careers, their service to their communities and their commitment to the college.
